GREEN SCREEN FUN

Students were challenged to come up with a short 30 second video that utilized a composite shot using a green screen. Its not easy being green...but some of these were great! Good job student-artists.

Special thanks to ambitious artists like Alex Jacobs '06, Joel Van Haren '06, Eddie Kunz '07, and others who played such an important part in creating a new tradition at JMM. THE TRADITION CONTINUES...

VIDEO SELF-PORTRAITS

The self-portrait is one of the most common staples in all of Art. With video we get to add a time based media element to the traditional self-portrait. This gives students an opportunity to not just capture what they may look like or who they are RIGHT NOW, but also who they were and how they arrived at this moment in life. I also challenged students to finish their video with something that would give us a hint that their future is still to come and that they aren't done yet.
